The Des Plaines Self-Help Closet and Food Pantry originated in the basement of First Congregational UCC in 1971 and since has become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We continue to support the Self-Help Closet & Pantry on an ongoing basis with food donations and fundraisers.
Donations can be dropped off in the red barrels at church or at the Self-Help Closet & Pantry during donation hours. For more information contact our church office.
